Kupon Exhibition, 2023

The starting point of the first solo exhibition of artist Sevval Konyali titled “Kupon”, which is also curated by the artist, was Walter Benjamin’s thesis of aura, where he describes the absence of the presence of even the most perfect reproduction of a work of art in time and space in the age of reproduction by technical means. The exhibition, which met the audience under the name “Kupon”, which means unique, questioned the uniqueness of the artwork, which became reproducible in the face of the unpreventable development of technology, through original photographs and installations.
