Sacrifice, 2022

The installation “Sacrifice” is a childlike representation of the mysterious figureheads believed to protect the ship and its crew since ancient times. The installation reminds us the legend of Iphigenia, who was sacrificed to the goddess Artemis by her father, the commander Agamemnon, during the Trojan War by combining a late 19th century doll and a found lifebuoy.
